
🎃 What an incredible Trunk or Treat event! A HUGE shout out to our amazing PTO for hosting and organizing everything. Special thanks to our teachers for going above and beyond to decorate the bus, and a heartfelt thank you to the South Bloomfield Police, Harrison Twp. Fire Department, and Pickaway County Sheriff for joining in the fun! 🙌 Of course, we couldn’t have done it without all of our wonderful parents who decorated their vehicles and donated candy – you truly made this event possible. The students had an absolute blast! 🍬🚓🚒 We love our community!











We’ve been having so much fun while learning! From making friendship bracelets with our school buddies to exploring ecosystems in science, creating mansion arrays to practice multiplication, working hard in math and phonics, and even enjoying music therapy – our students are learning, growing, and having a blast every step of the way!











Shoutout to our amazing students who sold enough mumkins to earn the ultimate reward – silly stringing Mrs. Swanger! 🎉 You all crushed it, and we had a blast celebrating your hard work. Keep up the awesome effort, and thank you for your support!

🔥🚒 It is National Fire Prevention Week. A big thank you to the Harrison Twp. Fire Department for visiting our Kindergarten and 1st grade students! The kids loved exploring the fire truck, ambulance, and seeing the fire uniform up close. They even got to meet Embers the Fire Dog! 🐾 It was a fun and educational day, learning important safety tips from our local heroes.

🎉 Word of the Week: FUNDAMENTAL 🎉
This week, we're focusing on the word fundamental, which means forming the basic foundation or core of something important. Whether it's learning, teamwork, or kindness, the fundamentals are what hold everything together. 💪


Our kindergartners had a blast exploring their five senses, with a special focus on the sense of smell! 👃✨ They worked like little scientists, hypothesizing, sounding out words for their writing, and collaborating to share their predictions. Learning through curiosity and teamwork!










Mr. Elliot took over as Principal for the Day, all thanks to his amazing efforts as the top seller in the PTO Mumkins sale! 🌸🎉 He did a fantastic job leading the school and enjoyed a day full of special responsibilities. Way to go, Mr. Elliot!


Mrs. Bartholow’s class collected the most items for the food drive and today they celebrated with a popsicle party on the playground, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! ☀️🍧 The sun was shining, smiles were everywhere, and everyone enjoyed some well-deserved fun.







A big thank you to our PTO who donated apples for our experiments last week! The kindergarteners had an absolute blast exploring with them. From creating apple volcanoes and conducting a taste test, to discovering if apples sink or float, and making homemade applesauce—it was a week full of fun and learning! 🍎✨





Our 1st graders ended their space unit with some out-of-this-world activities! 🚀🪐👩🏾🚀 🌎☀️Students have been learning about the sun’s energy, day & night patterns, the seasons, planets, our moon & astronauts. They extended their learning with some additional topics & hands-on activities!











Thank you to all of our amazing students for helping us Stuff the Bus for the Ashville Food Pantry! 🎉 Together, we collected an incredible 1,005 items! A special shoutout to Mrs. Bartholow’s class for leading the way with the most donations. Your generosity is making a difference in our community! 💙💛

Our 4th graders had an amazing hands-on learning experience at Pickaway County Ag Day! They explored crops, livestock, ag careers, pollinators, soil, and farm machinery, all thanks to the incredible FFA students. We’re so grateful for this fantastic opportunity – it’s truly one of our favorite days of the year! 🚜 🌱 🐖🐄🌾

We were thrilled to welcome author Julia Cook to South Bloomfield Elementary School! 📚✨ Julia inspired our students with her engaging stories and shared valuable lessons on life skills, friendship, and problem-solving. It was an unforgettable experience for everyone! Our first graders brought "The Wizard of Oz" to life! 🌪️✨ Through special discussions about characters, traits, setting, and plot, students deepened their understanding while having fun reenacting the story. So proud of their creativity and insights! 🎭📚










Every day is an adventure in learning at SBE! 🌟 From exploring new ideas to building lifelong skills, our students are growing in knowledge and confidence. Together, we’re creating a strong foundation for a bright future! 📚✏️











Our monthly buddy activity is a blast! 🎉 Our students got to know each other better through a fun Fruit Loop game where they answered questions based on the color of their cereal. 🍊🍋🍇 It was a great way to build friendships and learn something new about each other!
