👕🧤 Lost and Found Check!
Our lost and found is filling up! If your child is missing a jacket, water bottle, lunch box, or other item, please remind them to stop by and take a look. We’d love to get these items back to their owners!

Shout out to Rio for doing an awesome job with our morning announcements today! 🎤 She earned this opportunity as a Viking Award prize, and she did a fantastic job starting our day.

Our second graders are kicking off our new Arts & Letters module: How Does Food Nourish Us? with a delicious start! 🥄🍓
Students followed a recipe and created their own yogurt parfaits while thinking about how food fuels our bodies, minds, and communities.

Our Student Leadership Team is collecting items for a local animal rescue group. Please send items by March 27th.

A huge thank you to our amazing PTO for providing every student in our school the opportunity to experience the magic of live theater! 🎭
This week, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders traveled to the Riffe Center’s Davidson Theatre to enjoy the production of The Princess Who Lost Her Hair. Experiences like this help bring stories to life and create memories our students will never forget.
We are so grateful for the support of our PTO in making opportunities like this possible for our students! 👏✨

TVWMS band members visited our 5th graders to share the many instruments they can choose from when they reach middle school. Our students loved hearing the different sounds and learning about the opportunities that await them in band.
Even better, many of the musicians visiting were former students from our building! It was wonderful to see them back, helping teach and inspire the next group of future band members. We loved having you back! 🎺🥁🎷

These two knocked it out of the park this evening! 💙💛
One former student and one current student cheering their hearts out for Teays Valley. It’s always special to see the pride and spirit our students carry with them—both past and present! 📣

First graders have been hard at work with their geography unit, studying landforms and maps. Today they wrapped up their unit with some fun hands-on activities! They applied their knowledge by creating landforms with kinetic sand and designing their own treasure maps! 🏔️🏝️🏞️

Congratulations to our Yearbook Cover Design Winners! 🎨📚 A big shoutout to Marilyn and Makayla for creating the winning designs for this year’s yearbook cover! We had many creative designs to choose from this year!

Learning never stops for our staff! Last week, our teachers worked alongside a Wilson coach, collaborating and strengthening their practice with Wilson Fundations phonics instruction. Investing in teacher learning means stronger support for our students every day. 💙📚

Let’s hear it for our February Champions! 👏 These students went above and beyond by showing kindness, responsibility, and a positive attitude. We are proud to celebrate the difference they make in our school community!

Congratulations to our PBIS Monthly Poster Winners! 🎨🌎 Our students did an amazing job showing how our differences make our school stronger. We are proud of the creativity, kindness, and powerful messages shared through their artwork!

Last night we welcomed our Key Communicators group for an engaging and productive meeting. We appreciate the parents and community members who joined us to learn more about what’s happening in Teays Valley Schools and help keep our community informed. Thank you for being engaged advocates for our students and schools

As we wrap up February, some of our Kindergarten and Third Grade buddies got together for an activity that applies to this month’s theme: diversity! They practiced asking questions to see how unique everyone is. ❤️
