🦃🧡As we celebrate this day, we wanted to share our "Attitude of Gratitude Turkey"! Our students and staff have filled this display with all the big and small things they are thankful for this year. Seeing their genuine appreciation for family, friends, and community is the best reminder of what truly matters.
May your day be filled with joy, warmth, and abundant blessings. What are you most grateful for today? 🧡🦃

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving, Charlie Brown style! 🥜
Our Kindergarteners had the best time celebrating with a special viewing of A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving today! They enjoyed their very own feast of toast, popcorn, pretzel sticks, and jelly beans just like in the cartoon!
It was a fun, silly, and sweet way to kick off the holiday season. We are so thankful for our wonderful little turkeys! 🧡

🎉 History came to life today for our First Graders! 🎉
A huge thank you to Mr. Welsh and the wonderful team at the Ashville Museum (Ohio's Small Town Museum) for visiting us! Our students loved learning about local history and getting hands-on with the past. What an incredible way to spark curiosity about where we come from! 📚

🦃 Teamwork makes the dream work! 🏗️
Thank you to the awesome Teays Valley East 8th Graders for visiting our 2nd graders today as part of their annual community service day!

Two grades, one big heart! Our 2nd & 5th grade buddies teamed up today to create their class hand wreaths — celebrating friendship, teamwork, and the joy of learning together.

Nothing brings a school family together like a good meal! 🧡 Thank you to our incredible cafeteria crew for today’s Thanksgiving lunch! 🍂🦃 We are so grateful for the care they put into every meal.

📚 Nothing better than a book in hand! Our kindergarteners are busy reading, exploring, and discovering whole new worlds. ✨

Students in Mrs. Bristle’s, Ms. Forney’s, and Mrs. Kincaid’s classes participated in a meaningful community outing to Bob Evans. During this trip, students practiced a variety of life and social skills including independently ordering food, using appropriate manners, waiting patiently, and navigating small challenges. It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience, and their excitement and confidence made the day truly special. Big smiles all around!

Our fifth graders are doing an amazing job in DARE with Deputy Jared! 🚓💡 They’re learning important lessons about making safe and responsible choices each day. 💪

🎃 What a spooktacular night at Trunk or Treat! 👻 A huge thank you to our amazing PTO officers for organizing such a fun event, to all the parents who decorated trunks, and to our teachers and staff who came out to celebrate with our students. The annual decorated school bus, Harrison Twp. Fire Department, Pickaway County Sheriff, and South Bloomfield Police always show up for us and we’re so grateful! 🚒🚓🚌 An extra shoutout to the staff who pulled things together at the last minute to make sure we had plenty of trunks! 🍬🧡

Fifth graders explored Ohio’s wildlife history during our Arts & Letters Module 1 extension activity with ODNR! 🦌🐻 Students learned how Ohio’s animal populations and habitats have changed over time and how habitat restoration supports balance in nature. They also connected their learning to how Native Americans historically used animals and plants for survival and how those relationships were impacted by environmental changes.

In Arts & Letters, Kindergarten, module 2, Once Upon a Farm, students explore various farm settings and stories. 🎨✏️ Yesterday, our young learners enjoyed listening to Hare & Tortoise then participated in drawing and labeling what they noticed. Such thoughtful little artists and storytellers in action! 🐢🐇

Thank you to Kendra Strawser, TVEF, and RIF for sharing the love of reading with our second graders! 📚 Students loved listening to the story and were so excited to choose a book of their own to take home and enjoy.

Blue and Gold Day vibes! 💙💛 Our Viking spirit is shining bright thanks to our amazing PTO for the awesome school shirts!
