
The SBE Running Club wrapped up today with an exciting 2-mile fun run! A huge thank you to all the staff members who supported after-school practices and helped make today’s event a success. Eastland Fairfield career center hosted a career discovery day. Our 5th graders were given the opportunity to explore many of the career center programs and future career options.




Gifted students from South Bloomfield and Scioto Elementaries in the VIKES program recently participated in the Noetic Learning Math Contest. The Noetic Learning Math Contest (NLMC) is a semiannual problem-solving contest for elementary and middle school students. During the contest, students have 50 minutes to solve 20 creative problems independently without a calculator. The top 10% of students are honored with National Honor Roll medals, and the top 50% receive Honorable Mention ribbons. Moreover, each team is awarded a Team Winner medal for their top scorer.

A big thank you to Mrs. Kincaid’s class for the special popcorn cart delivery today in honor of Teacher Appreciation Day! Your thoughtful treat made our day extra special—what a sweet (and salty!) way to celebrate our amazing staff! 🍿







Our 2nd graders had a great day exploring Ashville on their annual community tour! From learning at the post office, bank, police department, library, and museum— to topping it all off with ice cream at the Baseball Dairy Diamond, it was a sweet way to celebrate our small-town pride!

Today our 2nd graders made Earth Day extra special! 🌎🧤 They rolled up their sleeves for a neighborhood clean-up and set off on a nature scavenger hunt, discovering everything from ladybugs to leaves 🍃🔍. So proud of these little eco-heroes for showing us how to care for our planet—one street and one treasure at a time!
