We were excited to welcome a group of South Bloomfield Elementary students and their popcorn shop to the September Board of Education meeting! They served up popcorn with a smile then shared details about their shop with everyone. These students learn valuable life skills through their participation and they provide joy and a snack to the staff.

🍋💛 Miss Forney’s class ran their very own lemonade stand this week! Students practiced communication skills, teamwork, and real-world life skills while serving up lots of smiles. 🌟👏

🎉 Special shout-out to Layla! 🎉 She not only received a Viking Award chose her reward to be doing the morning announcements, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park! 🌟👏

☀️ Our buddy classes kicked off their partnership with popsicles, playground time, and plenty of fun together! A big THANK YOU to our PTO for supplying the popsicles to make the day even sweeter. 🍭💙

OhioHealth is offering a special Grief Program on September 27th for children ages 6–17 and their parent/caregiver. This program is designed to provide support, understanding, and healing during difficult times. 💙

🍿 Our Life Skills Popcorn Cart was back in action this week! Students are practicing communication, following directions, and building functional work skills while serving up smiles (and snacks!). 👏

This week, PARS visited our students during library time to share powerful life lessons! Students learned about decision-making, goal-setting, managing emotions, effective communication, and how to identify bullying situations.

This week, Principal Mrs. Swanger and Assistant Principal Mr. Lemieux joined our 5th graders for a fun round of Jeopardy! The game helped students learn the rules and tools from the handbook in an engaging and memorable way.

🌟 We kicked off PBIS with a celebration of our amazing students who stood out as Learners, Leaders, Friends, and SBE Champions! 🎉👏 Their positive choices and commitment to our school community set a great example for everyone. We’re so proud of them—way to go, Vikings! 🤩💙

Our Kindergarteners are diving into Arts and Letters Module 1, Lesson 4 all about apples! 🍎 They used their five senses to explore apples and share their discoveries during a gallery walk. What a fun way to learn, create, and connect!

Today we welcomed our youngest learners—our preschoolers—on their very first day of school! 🌟 Their excitement, big smiles, and tiny backpacks filled our halls with joy. Here’s to a wonderful year of growing, learning, and making new friends at South Bloomfield Elementary!

This morning at Convocation, we had the privilege of surprising some incredible staff members with special honors.
