The TVHS Year 1 Global Scholars visited the Byrd Climate and Polar Research Center at OSU. This trip helped students to understand the science of climatology and gave them an opportunity to hear from the Climatologist for the state of Ohio as well as other experts in the climate field. #vikingpride

Today, students from Circleville, Logan Elm and Teays Valley High Schools toured the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy and Crime Laboratory! Students learned about the various law enforcement careers available to make a difference in our state. Thank you, Lieutenant Caplinger, for arranging this tour and keeping the roadways in Pickaway County safe!

Today, the Teays Valley High School Global Scholars Year 2 students attended a Global Issues event at Columbus College of Art and Design. They discussed the causes and impacts of major issues around the world. They also connected with speakers who are making local impacts. #VikingPride

Teays Valley High School will operate on a 2-hour delay Wednesday, February 4th, due to Teacher Professional Development. Our bus routes will run as scheduled, at the normal pick-up time. All students arriving early will need to go to a study hall during this 2-hour delay. Period 1 will begin at 9:38 am.

At the Board of Education meeting, we were proud to recognize three outstanding student athletes for their exceptional fall accomplishments. Deacon Kroeger was named OCC Golfer of the Year, Gavin Waters earned OCC Soccer Player of the Year, and Katy Zang captured the title in the OCC Buckeye Division race. Congratulations to these Vikings for their hard work, dedication, and well-deserved honors!

We had the privilege of celebrating two outstanding leaders at the Board of Education meeting - boys golf coach Brian Barnett and girls cross country coach Zach Frank, who guided their teams to OCC championships this fall. Congratulations, coaches!

Shoutout to our amazing Teays Valley High School Key Club! They volunteered at the Mid-Ohio Food Bank in Grove City, where they stocked shelves, packaged items, ran cash registers, and worked alongside both customers and employees.

Today Teays Valley High School FFA leaders attended the Ohio Legislative Leadership Conference (OLLC) at the Ohio Statehouse!
The morning began with a workshop where students learned about current issues and how to effectively advocate for agricultural education and FFA. Members then participated in a luncheon featuring Ohio FFA State Officers, senators, state representatives, and agricultural leaders who shared their insights and support for FFA.
This experience helped our students strengthen their leadership and advocacy skills while representing Teays Valley FFA with pride!

Teays Valley High School senior Biomedical Science students took their learning outside the classroom today with a visit to OhioHealth Berger Hospital! They toured the emergency department and gained valuable insight to support a project they are working on about emergency care.
A huge thank you to Pickaway WORKS WORKS for coordinating this experience and helping connect our students with real-world opportunities!
