Mrs. Riffle & Mrs. Minton’s classes had a google meet chat with some Air Force Airmen today to talk about their jobs in preparation for Veterans Day learning. 🇺🇸

Thank you to our amazing PTO for a memorable day with the Columbus Zoo! Our preschool through 2nd graders had a fantastic time learning about animals up close and creating lasting memories. Tomorrow, it’s the 3rd-5th graders’ turn to join in the adventure!

Exciting news! We just kicked off our Student Leadership Team, made up of 5th grade students chosen for their leadership skills and vision for our school’s future. They started strong with a team-building challenge, working together to build the tallest structure possible. We can’t wait to see what these young leaders accomplish this year!

Our 5th graders are participating in the D.A.R.E. program with SRO Officer Deputy Jared! Through lessons on decision-making, peer pressure, and safety, these students are learning valuable skills to make positive choices. Thank you, Deputy Jared, for your guidance and support!

🎃 From costumes to crafts and lots of treats, it was all fun and festive magic for our preschoolers! 🍁

🌟 Word of the Week: Encounter! 🌟
This week, we’re exploring the word encounter! An encounter can be a chance meeting with a friend, a new experience, or a time when we face something unexpected. Encourage your child to use "encounter" in sentences, stories, and discussions at school and home. Let's see what new encounters this week brings us!

🎉 Congratulations to our Golden Viking Award winners! 🏆 These outstanding students stood out as strong learners, leaders, and friends. Way to be true champions, Vikings! Keep shining! 💪🌟

🎃🛒 Mrs. Kincaid's class had a spook-tacular time at Wal-Mart on Monday! Our students got hands-on experience budgeting, pricing, scanning, and paying for trick-or-treat candy for the staff. A fun way to build essential life skills just in time for Trick or Treat! 👻🍬

🎃 What an incredible Trunk or Treat event! A HUGE shout out to our amazing PTO for hosting and organizing everything. Special thanks to our teachers for going above and beyond to decorate the bus, and a heartfelt thank you to the South Bloomfield Police, Harrison Twp. Fire Department, and Pickaway County Sheriff for joining in the fun! 🙌 Of course, we couldn’t have done it without all of our wonderful parents who decorated their vehicles and donated candy – you truly made this event possible. The students had an absolute blast! 🍬🚓🚒 We love our community!

We’ve been having so much fun while learning! 🎉 Word of the Week: FUNDAMENTAL 🎉
This week, we're focusing on the word fundamental, which means forming the basic foundation or core of something important. Whether it's learning, teamwork, or kindness, the fundamentals are what hold everything together. 💪

Our kindergartners had a blast exploring their five senses, with a special focus on the sense of smell! 👃✨ They worked like little scientists, hypothesizing, sounding out words for their writing, and collaborating to share their predictions. Learning through curiosity and teamwork!

Mr. Elliot took over as Principal for the Day, all thanks to his amazing efforts as the top seller in the PTO Mumkins sale! 🌸🎉 He did a fantastic job leading the school and enjoyed a day full of special responsibilities. Way to go, Mr. Elliot!

Mrs. Bartholow’s class collected the most items for the food drive and today they celebrated with a popsicle party on the playground, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! ☀️🍧 The sun was shining, smiles were everywhere, and everyone enjoyed some well-deserved fun.
