Our 1st graders put their economics lessons into action during Economics Day! 💵✨ Students spent the Bloomfield Bucks they earned and saved on fun rewards like movies, snacks, extra playground time, a dance party, tattoos, and ice cream treats! 🍦🎉
It was Try Day Friday! 🎉 Our 2nd graders expanded their palates by taste-testing fresh sugar snap peas. Incorporating new fruits and vegetables into our week is a fun way to encourage healthy habits and brave tasting! Way to go, 2nd grade! 🌟🫛
Our fifth grade students had an incredible experience at Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools "Career Discovery Days" at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds! Students explored a variety of future career paths through hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences. Students were able to discover new interests and imagine the possibilities for their future.

Today our 4th and 5th graders wrapped up their drone unit with an exciting drone demonstration led by our SRO, Deputy Jared Duskey! Students had the opportunity to see the drones in action and learn how the sheriff’s department uses this technology to serve and support our community. A big thank you to Deputy Duskey for this real-world learning experience! 🚔✨
Our second graders have been learning about how food nourishes your body. They have discussed having healthy eating habits, as well as nutrients found in foods. Today was our first try-day Friday where students got to taste test the kiwi fruit. Many of them discovered that even though they are green, they’re actually quite good! 🥝🤩

Mrs. Bristle, Ms. Forney, and Mrs. Kincaid’s classes enjoyed a fun-filled trip to the park complete with a picnic, laughter, and time together outdoors. From playground adventures to sharing lunch with friends, it was a great day to learn, explore, and make memories together!

Our 2nd and 3rd grade students had the opportunity to learn an important life lesson from Deputy Jared and Nurse Lori about the importance of wearing a seatbelt. Their message was clear—buckling up can save lives!

Our second grade students had an amazing day exploring their community on a tour of Ashville, Ohio! From learning about local history to seeing how important services work, this experience brought their classroom learning to life.

Our second graders celebrated Earth Day in the best way, by giving back! 🌎💚 During their annual Earth Day walk and scavenger hunt, students explored their surroundings while helping clean up our community. We’re so proud of their teamwork, curiosity, and commitment to making the world a better place! 🌱✨
There were tears and smiles across the district as Superintendent Kyle Wolfe and Director of Teaching and Learning Beth Keplar got the chance to share some amazing news with 10 of our educational aides. Because of their dedication to our students and their potential as future educators, their path to a Bachelor's Degree in Education at Shawnee State University will be FULLY FUNDED through our partnerships with Shawnee State and other local partners. We cannot wait to see this group lead their own classrooms as licensed Intervention Specialists someday soon!
