Scioto 4th grade teacher Betsy Richards - "Mrs. Richards is a model teacher of our values here at Scioto. She understands the importance of building strong relationships and does just that with students, staff and the parents we serve. Mrs. Richards presents math in a way that is engaging and inquiry based. She gets students moving, thinking critically and collaborating. Her excitement about math is reflected in her students during her lessons. She is a great teammate, a champion for students and we are so grateful to have here serving our 4th grade students here at Scioto."
Author Carolyn Crimi's first stop in the district was at Scioto. The students created artwork related to her books and got to listen to a presentation from her.
TV Preschool Director Andi Ward Burrow - "We are excited to recognize Andi for her love and compassion for our students at Teays Valley. Andi coordinates our preschool services. She is welcoming to our new families and provides our students with a safe and secure environment to learn and grow. She extends her love for our students outside of the school day, taking students to activities and events if families are unable to attend. She is kind and supportive to all of our staff and works tirelessly to address concerns and needs in our preschool community.
