There were tears and smiles across the district as Superintendent Kyle Wolfe and Director of Teaching and Learning Beth Keplar got the chance to share some amazing news with 10 of our educational aides. Because of their dedication to our students and their potential as future educators, their path to a Bachelor's Degree in Education at Shawnee State University will be FULLY FUNDED through our partnerships with Shawnee State and other local partners. We cannot wait to see this group lead their own classrooms as licensed Intervention Specialists someday soon!

We are once again celebrating Rock Your Socks Day at Teays Valley!
World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated on March 21, but since it falls on a weekend this year, our schools will be celebrating a day early on Friday, March 20.
Students, staff, and families are encouraged to wear their brightest, boldest, and most colorful socks to help us celebrate and show support for our special friends with Down Syndrome. Rocking your socks is a fun way to start conversations about inclusion, kindness, and celebrating the things that make each of us unique.

This morning, we welcomed parents of our 8th grade students for a guided tour of the TVHS campus. Families had the opportunity to learn about the many options available to students and to explore several of our Career Pathways classrooms and labs. We were excited to share many of the opportunities that their students will have the option to participate in next school year! All 8th grade families and students are encouraged to attend a meeting with TVHS guidance counselors this Thursday, February 5, at 6:30 p.m., in the TVHS auditorium.

Congratulations to Freshman, and former West student, Hannah Daniels for receiving the Read Ohio Award during the Ohio Educational Library Media Association conference. Hannah was nominated by Mrs. Seebauer for her passion of reading last school year. Congratuations Hannah!
