The Walnut PTO is a mixture of caring parents and staff dedicated to improving the quality of our school, enhancing the well being of our students and help increase and motivate their education. Our primary goal for the 2019-2020 school year is technology. Our plan is to go one-to-one with Chromebooks for grades 3-5 and assist with technology for our lower grades K-2. We plan to do some amazing events to help us achieve these goals and need your help.
Our meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month in the school library at 6 p.m. Kids are welcome, but childcare is not provided. We welcome all volunteers for our school functions including the popular Fun(D) Run, Fall Family Fun Night, Grandparents Ice Cream Social and Book Fair, Spirit Wear, Secret Santa, Princess Ball, Dodgeball/GaGa Mania, Staff Appreciation Week, Penny War, Field Day (assist), various spirit days during the year and our always favored end of year field trips to Chuck E Cheese or Rule 3 as a reward for positive student behavior.
To become a “voting” PTO member, you will need to complete the member form and donate $1. All forms will be available during the Walnut Elementary Open House and also upon request. We welcome all ideas, suggestions and your volunteer time. Any amount of help you can provide during any of the above-mentioned activities will help us succeed. Your volunteer time goes a long way to make this school year a successful one for your children.
