College Credit Plus is a program that allows students who need additional challenges above and beyond the high school curriculum to earn college credit while still being enrolled as a student in grades 7-12. While the program provides a plethora of opportunities for those students who need the academic expansion, it also brings some trials along the way.
Each year, TVHS conducts an informational meeting that provides parents and students the necessary updates regarding the rules, regulations, advantages and disadvantages concerning participation in the College Credit Plus program. This year, due to the pandemic that our country is enduring, the annual College Credit Plus informational meeting will be conducted by the parent and student viewing an informational video
. The viewing of this video is mandatory for any student participating in the 2021-2022 school year. If you have been previously involved with the College Credit Plus program, you are still required to view the video to ensure you are aware of updated information. Some of the items included in the video include: how a student may earn free college credit, the impact of taking college courses on a students GPA and class rank and dual enrollment courses that are available at TVHS. How to access required forms, applications and intent to participate documents will also be provided.
