TV has three full time School Resource Officers (SROs). All SROs are sworn Deputies of the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office. They are licensed through the Ohio Peace Officers Training Commission with enhanced skills provided through the Ohio School Resource Officers Association in compliance with HB 318.

The mission of school resource officers is to provide three roles:
  1. Law enforcement, security and peacekeeping services
  2. Law related mentors for students, faculty and administrators and act as a liaison between the district and elements of the criminal justice system and
  3. Provide audience appropriate, law related education.
SROs also act as models and mentors for students by demonstrating and reinforcing positive behavior, meaningful relationships and maintaining high standards of ethics. They strive to use restorative justice and harm reduction practices to maintain the peace and divert students away from the court system when feasible.
