Welcome to the Teays Valley East Middle School website. The staff and I are looking forward to an outstanding 2022-23 school year!
This is my 24th year in education. The last seven have been at East as assistant principal or principal. My wife, four daughters and I are all about helping all Vikings have VICTORY with Teays Valley! We live in the district, our girls all attend Teays Valley schools and my wife is a teacher at Walnut Elementary. I love seeing Teays Valley students and families throughout the community. It is my goal to make sure each student at East has an amazing school experience and is well prepared for high school and beyond. Our VICTORY motto at East is what we strive for each day: Vikings Inspire Character, Trustworthiness, Optimism and Respect through You.
The staff will provide a quality education in the areas of math, language arts, science, social studies, health and wellness, physical education, art, vocal and instrumental music and technology/college and career connections (CCC). We offer several extra curricular opportunities for students including: football, volleyball, cross country, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, track, yearbook club, LIFE club, ROX, Battle of the Books and Power of the Pen, as well as our advisory groups. These activities are in place to ensure each student at East has a place where he/she belongs. It is our desire that every day at East is a great day for your child.
We recognize that we cannot do this without your support. We are so thankful for the amazing parent and community support that is received by our school and students. We desire to work closely with parents to make sure each child is getting the education he/she needs.
