Welcome to South Bloomfield Elementary School. On behalf of the entire SBE staff, I would like to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year.
My name is Allison Swanger. This is my 15th year at Teays Valley Local Schools and my 3rd year as principal at South Bloomfield Elementary. I started my career in special education and I have spent most of my career at the elementary and middle school levels.
My husband and I have 5 children in Teays Valley Schools. We are proud of the TV community and the wonderful education our children receive. Our family loves the outdoors and sports. You’ll often see us at TV sporting events, so please stop us and introduce yourself. We also enjoy swimming, fishing, traveling and playing board games, and I enjoy baking.
At South Bloomfield Elementary we believe that each and every student can be a CHAMPION. CHAMPIONS are successful in academics and behavior through supported guidance and modeling of Academic effort, exemplary Behavior, and good Choices. These are the ABCs of a CHAMPION. We encourage our students to “Be a Learner, Be a Leader, Be a Friend, Be a South Bloomfield Elementary Champion.”
Along with teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the success established at SBE, by building strong relationships with students, parents, and community partners.
We will work together as a home and school community to help each student achieve at his/her highest academic level and become a well-rounded citizen. I look forward to your ideas and suggestions and encourage you to become involved by attending or volunteering with SBE PTO. Your involvement makes a positive difference for our students and our school community.
