Remote Learning Opportunities
Our teachers are working to provide learning opportunities for students in grades K-12. We know that we can never replace the work our teachers do with students in our classrooms each day. Our online learning opportunities are designed to "keep the learning going" during this public health emergency.
On Monday, March 23, our teachers begain providing remote learning opportunities to our students. This will continue throughout the extended school closure until May 1. All teachers are responsible for communicating learning options to students and parents via the learning and communication platform they have been utilizing this year (e.g., Schoology, ClassDojo, Boomz). We will not be awarding an overall traditional letter grade for the 4th 9 weeks. Instead, final grades will strictly be Pass (P) or Incomplete (I).
Teachers will be posting assignments and/or course updates and responding to discussion boards and student messages throughout the closure. Teachers will be available during the normal school day hours.
We realize that access to reliable internet is an issue in many parts of our district. If this is an issue for you, contact your teacher.
Remote Learning Tech Support
If you have a question about an assignment or classwork, please communicate directly with your classroom teacher. If you or your student’s device is broken, or you need tech support, please complete the form below. A Teays Valley staff member will follow up as soon as possible.
We are working on connectivity for students without WiFi in their homes. We will be pushing WiFi into the parking lots at Walnut, West and TVHS so that families can park near the school and students can use their devices. Click here
