Welcome to the 2019-20 school year. This year will be the first year that all students in our building will be provided their own personal chromebook. This will enhance educational opportunities for our students and allow them to become more adept at using technology as an educational tool.
Our building continues to focus on preparing all students for life after high school. We have established educational pathway options that can benefit students who are interested in pursuing careers in the fields of technology, business, engineering, agriculture education and biomedical science. Students are not required to select a pathway, however, these pathways follow a four year program, which students must complete in order to receive credentials and/or advanced career opportunities.
As juniors, our students can apply to attend one of our career centers. We have also continued to grow in the offerings of college credit plus courses. Students may select from offerings held at Teays Valley High School or they can attend the affiliated university programs on their campus. While our students are being exposed to more class options, we remain focused on the importance of a well rounded education.
Our athletic and music programs continue to flourish and represent our school very well in league, district and state competitions. School spirit and communities within our building are developed through our advisory period, PBIS program, various clubs  and extra-curricular activities. In 2019, we are beginning a relationship with Drug Free Clubs of America. Our goal with this club is to develop a partnership with families, business and community to support and educate students on the importance of remaining drug free. Students become part of an accountability system while reaping various benefits from their choice to live a drug free lifestyle.
We are proud of who we are, the educational options we offer and the opportunities we provide for our students and families. Go Vikings!
